Norfolk Tavern has a great menu, and even though the warning about the food allergies on their menu, as a Coeliac, I felt safe to eat here. The awareness of cross contamination is sometimes half the battle with a lot of these restaurants and Norfolk Tavern is better than most places I’ve been to.
Here is a fine print from one of their menus, which I really appreciate. Food allergies: Please be aware all care is taken when catering for special requirements. It must be noted that within the premises we handle nuts, seafood shellfish, sesame seeds, wheat flour, eggs, fungi and dairy products. Customers’ requests will be catered for to the best of our ability, but the decision to consume a meal is the responsibility of the diner. Dietary Codes; V = VEGETARIAN VG= VEGAN GF= GLUTEN FREE
