Shared chicken, but very coeliac aware, most of the menu can be done gluten free and dedicated gluten free fryers for the chicken and chips. The teams specialty is “KFC” like southern fried chicken- the chicken pieces and chips are all done in a coeliac safe way and are very popular among the coeliac locals. Chips and sauces all gluten free. They also do $1 wings on a Thursday!!!!
Burgers are also gluten free when you swap for a gluten free bun, however they do not have a separate hotplate to warm the gluten free buns on- they said they clean the hotplate before doing a coeliac order, but potentially can leave things open for cross contamination if they are busy etc. I personally would avoid the burger bun to be safe and go for an open burger or lettuce bun.
Only other downside is there is a $2.50 surcharge for GF chicken and also a $2.50 surcharge for a GF bun! Shared chicken so make your own decision on this one and be prepared to advocate for your coeliac disease when ordering.
Whilst coeliacs have reported safe dinning at each of these restaurants, remember to always be your own health advocate and let the restaurant know your specific needs. We recommend calling ahead to discuss ways to avoid cross contamination so you have a safe and confident dining experience.
